Recent Activity

July 2026: My main project of the past months has been Mikrokarismatica, a mixed composition for flute and electronics. I’m very interested in exploring fusions of sonic material to create a variety of soundscapes, and wanted to put the flute, which has a particular way of exhibiting such fundamental phenomena as breathing, voice and air, into dialogue with electronically altered incarnations of these elements. The piece is comprised of three sections and a coda: after an exercise in contrasts that brings together playful, intense and ethereal modes of expression, it plunges into a hallucinatory space full of rebellious spirits, then emerges into a space bursting with joy. This trajectory was conceived as a journey guided by the flute and its microphone. 

In composing the piece, I had the privilege of working with flutist Karisma Palorme, an incredible artist and musician who approached the project with enthusiasm and diligence.

The concert premiere was recorded and filmed at the Aubervilliers conservatory near Paris on 9 April 2026. A studio version was completed more recently.

November 2025: I’m happy to share a new and an updated version of the two works that now make up my Room of Echoes series of electroacoustic compositions, combining recordings and electronics. Room of Echoes II continues the creative explorations of the first work in the series, testing the possibilities of sounds and resonances recorded in and around the abbey in La Chaise-Dieu in Auvergne, France. Like the first work, it was composed for an octophonic or eight-channel sound system, which makes for an immersive listening experience in concert. Both were performed at the Paysages Composés festival in Grenoble on 4 October 2025. I’ve uploaded stereo versions of both pieces as they were conceived for the concert: an updated mix and master of Room of Echoes I and the first stereo version of Room of Echoes II. Both versions are adapted for listening on speakers or headphones.
